CFJ’s campaign:

Cause for Justice supports this worldwide campaign and will be launching its own campaign during the aforementioned 16 days #16days Say no to violence against women and children”.

The campaign is instituted to raise awareness regarding the negative effects of violence against women and children on society as a whole and to take action against it. Various international activism days fall within the 16 days campaign such as International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, International Human Rights Day and World AIDS Day.

Objectives of CFJ’s campaign:

  • Raise awareness of the issue.
  • Invite all South Africans to participate in this campaign to fight gender-based violence.
  • Expand accountability within communities
  • Use social media as a platform by posting information such as statistics, active involvement strategies to partake in during the 16 days of activism, share help lines and other useful information.
  • We will share on Twitter and Facebook: #16days
