The vision of Cause for Justice is the establishment and preservation of a South African society in which justice is dispensed to all through the protection and promotion of the constitutional rights and freedoms of each member of society.
In order to achieve its vision, CFJ proactively seeks to identify and take on causes (predominantly social, political, economic and/or legal in nature) in keeping with the organisation’s five core values. The five core values have been identified as key drivers in society, resulting in societal flourishing both at the individual as well as the macro level.

HUMAN DIGNITY/ WORTH
The pre-eminent worth of human life dictates that each human life carries equal value and everyone is entitled to equal protection and benefit of the law.
RESPONSIBLE FREEDOM
Every person has the right to freedom of conscience, religion and opinion, freedom of expression and freedom of association.
ACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE
Everyone in authority must act responsibly in the best interest of the people they serve/govern. Everyone under authority is called to wilful obedience, but should be allowed to express grievances appropriately in a non- violent manner.
FAMILY
A stable family unit is the cornerstone of healthy, well-functioning (flourishing) communities and of society at large.
SOCIAL JUSTICE
Society is collectively responsible for the social welfare and security of all people, especially the most vulnerable in our society.
